Happy New Year! I don’t know about you, but I have noticed that with all these new electronic peripherals, miscellaneous devices and components hooked up to my computer and outlets, my desk sometimes look like a thick tangled mess! This can be extremely frustrating when I am on the run and need to grab my headphones or cell phone charger quickly.
One of my New Year’s resolutions is to get organized! To avoid wasting time untangling cords and instead make my desk more organized and neat, I have compiled a list of my favorite cable and wire shortening/control solutions. Here are my top five solutions:
1.Velcro Brand One Wrap Cable Ties – Cable tie fasteners can be opened and closed thousands of times and are easily refastened. Comes in a variety of colors for organization and high visibility!
2. Cord Hog Cable Organizer – Very intriguing design. Takes up the extra slack to adjust you cord to just the right length. Only 2 inches in diameter, the Cord Hogs can hold nearly 12 feet of wire. Get organized and get untangled!
3. Wrap N Strap Cord Organizers – UV and water resistant! Color coded and will organize your garden hoses, power extensions, entertainment systems, printer cables and any household cables. Very inexpensive!
4. Cable Turtles – Distinctive design to relieve excess lengths of wires and cables. I use these cable turtles mainly for my computer cables, phone cards, television wires and headphones. Comes in three different sizes: Mini, Small and Large; and comes in an assortment of fun colors!
5. Cable Bin Mini w/Surge Protector – Keeps away dust and protects desk cables from voltage spikes while hiding them. Cable bins are made from durable plastic and are designed with a 2-piece tray and lid. Comes in a variety of colors to match your decor.
